A safer way to salt the driveway.
Manual salting is inconsistent and often unsafe, requiring users to walk directly on icy surfaces. Our solution is a stationary system that distributes salt from a fixed location using a motor-driven spinning disk and controlled feed mechanism.
The problem
Manual salting is slow, uneven, and risky.
Users often over-apply salt and must walk on icy surfaces. Existing powered solutions are typically large, expensive, or not suited for residential use.
Our approach
Load, position, and activate.
Salt is loaded into a hopper and guided downward by a spiral agitator connected to the rotating disk. A stepper motor drives a finned disk, which launches salt outward in a controlled arc. The system distributes material evenly without requiring the user to move across the driveway.

Safer mornings. Less salt. Consistent coverage.
By removing the need to manually spread salt, the system improves safety, reduces waste, and delivers more consistent coverage from a single fixed position.
